Chapter Eighteen: Part Two

"What are you thinking about?" Yu Jiang scratched the back of Yu Yanzhang's hand and startled him back to the present from his horrifying past memories.

His panicked gaze turned to the half-drawn curtains, and only once he saw the bright crescent moon hanging the vast and dark night sky did he finally manage to calm himself down.
You'll wait for the day I'm willing to have a child with you? Yu Yanzhang stared at his son in bewilderment, wanting very much to tell him that there was no way on this earth that day would ever come. But after seeing the sincerity in his son's expression, for some reason, he just couldn't bring himself to utter that refusal, so all he did was mumble in response.
I really did escape. I really came back to the world of the living. I really did get back to this beautiful world where sunlight, moonlight, flowers, plants, trees, and people exist! ... That blood-curdling life of being caged like some animal was truly now behind me, and it will become nothing but a memory.

"Yanzhang, you really hate me being this way, don't you?" Yu Jiang hugged him tightly. "But I need you to obey me, because that's the only way I can feel as though you are truly mine. Even though you're beside me right now, and within my reach, I'm still uneasy. I don't know how to make you belong to me for the rest of your life; I don't know how to keep you in my arms forever." The suffering in his tone was evident. "So, please... can you please just obey and do as I planned? Why can't you get rid of that man's bastard inside you and just give birth to my child in the future instead?"
Yu Jiang then pulled Yu Yanzhang into his embrace once more and patted him gently on the back, while his lips kissed and nipped at his cheeks.
