Just like this, with spunk and tears covering their bodies, a sudden knock sounded at the door which gave both Yu Jiang and Yu Yanzhang a start!
Staring at that door just shut in his face, Tang Hong wanted to cry for the umpteenth time... Boss... how could you say something like that, in "my" house—in "my" home. How could you do something like this, huh?
The tall man wrapped in a filthy looking coat leaned back on the wall with his collar pulled high while seemingly smoking given the dot of red that shone then faded in the dark night. Then, in an instant, Tang Hong realised it was the same bearded man he had met earlier that day!
So without giving it a second thought, he had got up and went to knock on that bedroom door. But now, after seeing the twisted expression on his group leader's face... his heart turned timid. Looking beyond his group leader's broad, thick shoulders, he saw "A" lying on on the bed and looking at him with a shocked expression, too. Really? There was not one bit of gratitude for saving him from 'misfortune' on "A's" face, just a look of shock was reflected in his clear, dark eyes. Those slender eyes of his were surrounded in a flush of crimson, and although there were steaks of tears on his face, there were no actual signs that he was being ill-treated. His arms were left exposed from the cover of the blanket, and his bare thin shoulders were held straight, and from the looks of it, there were signs of him being bruised, bitten, or whipped...
Fortunately, Yu Jiang reacted quickly and pulled on his trousers to cover himself before striding over to pull open the door with a bang! Then, as result of this rough opening, Tang Hong who stood in that doorway had a face full of fright while his body was trembling.
"Hm?" Tang Hong began backing away in a panic...
"B-Boss, I-I—" Tang Hong was fast asleep just a while ago, but for a reason only heaven knows, he suddenly awoke and began hearing strange noises from his bedroom! The cries and struggling, shrieks and tearing, made one thought instinctive enter his mind: The Boss was abusing "A"!
In truth, such questions were ones that rarely crossed Tang Hong's mind. That name, Yu Yanzhang, to him was nothing but an unfamiliar symbol, a symbol of a relationship through blood but it had no emotional connection at all.

Was... was he rich or poor? Was he handsome or ugly? Was he educated? Was he a businessman? Where the heck was he right now? Was he alive... or was he already dead? Why did he marry my mom back then? Why did he abandon her and me...
I had heard there were a lot of men in the world who had sadistic hobbies, and although Boss looks like a regular person, who knows is if he has such dark inclinations buried deep down! Yet, despite his unwillingness to do so, Tang Hong still had to admit that "A" was indeed his boss' man since he had seen no signs from "A" before that he was being forced. But, even if he is your man, Boss, you still don't have the right to abuse and trample all over another person like this! Especially a person who is pregnant—a pregnant man at that!
Why did the pressure around him grow so dense and the oxygen in the air diminish... well, that due to a fact that everyone was aware of when a flame burns, it sucks up all the oxygen in sight.
The thought of "A" being mistreated by his group leader until he was crying had clawed at Tang Hong's heart like a scratching kitten.
His young, handsome Group Leader Yu had flames burning above his head that could already be seen with the naked eye...

What... what kind of person was he?
But, inside, he felt so lonely, so alone, so empty... and in the middle of night, in that city coloured in light, a profound silence prevailed over all.
Oh... was I actually mistaken?
He blurted out those words to only realise a second later what he had done. Oh my god! What the heck did I just say?? Oh god, I'm so dead... B-Boss is going to...

But, alas, what could Tang Hong do about such a situation? All he could do was simply turn the other cheek...

CHAPTER NINETEEN
Was... was he rich or poor? Was he handsome or ugly? Was he educated? Was he a businessman? Where the heck was he right now? Was he alive... or was he already dead? Why did he marry my mom back then? Why did he abandon her and me...
Tang Hong knew he had gone looking looking for trouble and brought all of it on himself. He was so scared right then, his teeth had started to chatter, while his head forced itself down desperately as he didn't dare look eye to eye with Yu Jiang. Around him, all he could then feel, was the air grow more stifling, to the point where he struggled to take breaths.
The tall man wrapped in a filthy looking coat leaned back on the wall with his collar pulled high while seemingly smoking given the dot of red that shone then faded in the dark night. Then, in an instant, Tang Hong realised it was the same bearded man he had met earlier that day!

"...Mr. Tang, are you the type who has nothing to do after eating his fill?" With a growl, he launched a kick Tang Hong's way, but luckily, Mr. Tang's quick reaction allowed him to jump backwards like a bunny to avoid the fate of being disabled in this lifetime.
His young, handsome Group Leader Yu had flames burning above his head that could already be seen with the naked eye...
Did he ever really love my mom? And if he's still alive, did he just forget about her and me?
"Tell me..." His group leader's beautiful voice squeezed through his gritted teeth as he spoke—yes, squeezed was the right word to describe this!
While he was absorbed in his thoughts, he had made his way to the bottom of the steps and out the alley to the street, the cold night air made him let out a shudder. He then walked towards a row of internet cafes at the other end of the road, past the park he regularly passed by during the day, where he suddenly noticed a man leaning all alone on a wall.
Even if that man had aided in giving him life and his blood, Tang Hong's impression of that father who never took responsibility for his wife and son was still less intimate than his relationship with the waiter from the bar next door.

"Hm?" Tang Hong began backing away in a panic...
Oh... was I actually mistaken?
It was such an unbelievably ordinary name. Of the countless men in the country, a name like that stood out as much as a tree or a pebble.
The long staircase was dark and gloomy because all the lights along it were broken. I requested for these lights to be fixed ages ago, but only heaven knows what happened the person in charge of repairs, and I never laid eyes on to this day. He had long given up on it ever being fixed, and he was a big guy for his age, anyhow, with no money in his pockets and his looks were safe. So he figured if there were bandits roaming about looking to plunder his pockets or his behind, they would never throw a glance his way. Let it just keep being dark, just like this!

Tang Hong had not the slightest clue!
What... what kind of person was he?
"If you've had your fill, do me a favour and go back to sleep you fυcker! And if you dare interrupt me again, I won't stop with just breaking you damn dog legsT/n: dog legs is also a slang for a lackey.!"

"Y-y-y-yes, sir!" With a slam, the door was shut before Tang Hong's face and done so closely it nearly flattened his already flat nose!
Gazing at the internet cafe in the distance where some people were entering and leaving, a marvellous idea popped into Tang Hong's mind.

That was too harsh... way too harsh...

Walking over to the window, Tang Hong looked down at the wide street below. Apart from the neon billboards and street lights, the shops and internet cafes that open all night long were the only places still sporting lights. It was already midnight, but this city that never sleeps was always shining bright in all its glory. The deserted streets were long void of anyone walking, so only the occasional car drove by.
But, alas, what could Tang Hong do about such a situation? All he could do was simply turn the other cheek...
But, "A's" here now—and he's pregnant plus it's hard for him to move. What if he missteps, falls, and breaks his foot? Wouldn't Boss straight up murder me then! With this realisation, Tang Hong made up his mind he would drag the repairman there tomorrow to fix it, no matter what that guy says!
Shuffling back to his make shift bed in the living room, how could Tang Hong still sleep?! At one moment, he mind wandered to his group leader in his bedroom with that man whose name he still did not know. In another moment, his thoughts drifted to his Uncle, Tang Hong, who suffered a tragic death. Then to his mother who had left him too early. Afterwards... his thoughts fell on that man, his biological father, Yu Yanzhang...

That's it! It must because I saw how close and passionate the Boss and "A" are, and I just got wrapped up in those marvellously lingering emotions. Wandering through this world with no one to rely on is just so lonely, and the beautiful feeling of having a home has always needed two people to make it feel complete. Was such a thing what love is?
So, why was I suddenly thinking of him now of all times?

Well, its not like I can sleep anyhow. Without turning on the light, and using the the light shining through the window, Tang Hong grabbed his jacket, quietly felt around for the door, opened it, then crept outside before gently pulling it close.
