When the man saw him, he also seemed to recognise Tang Hong and made his way out of the shadows into the overhanging light. Now that he was illuminated, Tang Hong could see his face clearly. He had clean, proper features and a overall expression that was strict. But despite being in such a unfortunate situation, the man still appeared quite bold.

As the man stood before him, Tang Hong's gaze could be pulled away from the bloodstain on the man's collar.

"Um, well, t-there are some people at my house who um—well, they wouldn't be happy about me bringing you back. But you can still spend the night at my place and just leave early in the morning... that can work, right?" Tang Hong was a bit embarrassed as he asked. That demon king like team leader of his scared the hell out of him so much that even him being a good person as Lei Feng's footsteps made him lose his wits.

CHAPTER NINETEEN: Part Two

This thought resonated in his heart, causing a sonorous laugh burst from Tang Hong's lips. "Then what are your plans for tonight, bro? You're not just going to keep squatting here all night, are you?"

"Hey! You're the guy who gave me a light earlier today, aren't you?"

This thought resonated in his heart, causing a sonorous laugh burst from Tang Hong's lips. "Then what are your plans for tonight, bro? You're not just going to keep squatting here all night, are you?"

But... the boss... If Boss found out, he'd definitely bash my head open tomorrow morning, scoop out my brains and eat it like soybean milk!

"——!" He wasn't sure if his eyes were mistaken, but when the man heard him say this, the mouse in his hand shook. It had shaken so much that the noise it made against the desk was noticeably loud.

The man spoke to Tang Hong load and clear, and thinking he should be kind, Tang Hong replied with a light smile, "Yeah, looks like I am. But, bro, why are you still here at this hour and not at home?"

With a sigh of relief, Tang Hong then replied, "Um... around seven—scratch that—around eight would be fine." That rich family's pampered son of a group leader of his, was not at all used to waking up early in the morning, and it was something Tag Hong was very well aware of. Then, with regard to man called "A", he was also sure that after he had that pregnant body of his dragged into that fierce "loving" of his group leader again and again there was no way he would be able to wake up before eight as well. It shouldn't be a problem at all, then!

In response the man pulled his lips into a grin, but such an expression was clearly not fitting for cold and serious face like his. "I'm hiding from my wicked old ball and chain at home. They're the type of woman who scratches at you like a cat."

"Wh... what's wrong?" Tang Hong looked at the man curiously and then remembered he still hadn't asked the man his name!

After saying this, he unconsciously glanced at the blood on his collar, and with that Tang Hong thought: Oh, so that's what happened! Tang Hong couldn't stop himself from letting out a chuckle. It was true there were a lot of men in this world who were afraid of their wives, but there weren't many like this man before him that were so scared they didn't dare set foot back home. This sad fact made him unable to help but feel sympathetic towards the guy.

Picking up on Tang Hong's silence from behind him, the man turned to aske, "Hey, why aren't you talking?"

"Oh, you're going on the web? ...are you going to watch some pawn?" The man asked with a shady grin, but he also agreed to Tang Hong's request and joined him.

So should I just toss this man aside and leave him be? It was an option, but it was one an innately soft-hearted person like Tang Hong just couldn't bear to go through with. It was true he just exchanged a few words with the man, but he already seemed to regard this man no different than someone he took as a friend. A pitiful man like this was shedding tears under the heavens, and hes looking at me with such a sweet smile right now, so what could I do?

While he did so, he also really wanted to apologize to the man for his prior thoughtlessness. When I first saw the blood on his collar, I thought it was some sign he was a murderer or something...

Tang Hong began pitying the man unintentionally. It was glum autumn's night, and having to crouch at a wall while the air carried a nip was just too pitiful. Can I... let him crash at my place for the night?

Going online to look up any information on Yu Yanzhang was something he just thought up on a whim.

But the man replied helplessly, "I don't have much of a choice, so I just have to make do."

Turns out, he's just another one of the pitiful men walking this earth.

Then, on a sofa, in the furthest part inside the cafe, was the owner sprawled out on a sofa watching TV.

iana: Tang Hong is the absolute best. He's so precious, like a diamond in a cesspool. He's my favourite character in this story.

But the man replied helplessly, "I don't have much of a choice, so I just have to make do."

To this, Tang Hong stated simply, "Yu Yanzhang."

Unaccustomed to browsing the internet, Tang Hong clumsily tapped away at the keyboard with fingers that weren't of much use. So, seeing this, that man figured he could lend him a hand and asked him what he wanted to type. Tang Hong let out a relieved sigh and readily agreed to his assistance, and hurriedly changed their seats. Frankly put, these sort of modern trendy toys were not things he had a good understanding of.

Wait, isn't Liu Wei the name of that criminal who killed my uncle? So he still hasn't been caught after all this time! Hmph! That young cop surnamed Meng is really taking his sweet time, isn't he? Looks like I had too much faith in him. Tang Hong continued to half-heartedly listen to the news while he opened up a browser.

"Um... If you don't mind it, you can come crash at my house for the night if you want to, yeah?" With Hesitance, Tang Hong asked.

But... the boss... If Boss found out, he'd definitely bash my head open tomorrow morning, scoop out my brains and eat it like soybean milk!

"Well..." the man thought it over seriously, his curious eyes falling in Tang Hong as he did. "Where's your place? Is it in that building over there? Oh, my apologies, I'm probably asking too much—" Right then, a police car swept past them with its siren blaring, and the man glanced at, his expression showing a slight change. He then quickly added, "I'm in! I'm afraid I'm going to have to trouble you for a night, then. That's okay, right? Anyhow, how early do I have to leave tomorrow?"

"Hey! By the way, what's your name, bro? I just remembered I never asked. I'm really sorry about that. Mine is Tang Hong."

The man's eyes widened in shock at the question before giving Tang Hong a once over. "Uh, it's not an inconvenience, is it?" He, too, seemed hesitant, but it was obvious the request did make him feel moved.

He said he had a fight with his wife, but is there a woman in this world that was so cruel, she'd even bash her husband's head in to the point it drew blood?

"Um, well, t-there are some people at my house who um—well, they wouldn't be happy about me bringing you back. ...something isn't right.

But for some reason his hands had a very light tremble, maybe it was because he was cold.

"Well..." the man thought it over seriously, his curious eyes falling in Tang Hong as he did. "Where's your place? Is it in that building over there? A sense of relief now washed over him as he put his thoughts in order, which, in an instant, made a lively expression again envelop his face. Slapping the man on his shoulder, he then said with glee, "Hey, buddy! I'm on my way to an internet cafe right now, so tag along! After I'm done, we can go back to my place together!"

But he didn't have much time to mull over these thoughts, because it wasn't long until the street of internet cafes was in front of him.

"...the municipal public security bureau has issued an arrest warrant for a criminal suspect on the run named... Liu Wei. The suspect was the owner of the XX Hotel... his height is... his weight is... criminal suspect... on the run for a week.... so we request that any members of the public who notice any sign of clue to this suspect's whereabouts to please quickly contact the police...."

Then, after picking one at random, he and that man made their way in. Lifting the heavy curtain, the room had no overhead lights turned on and a few boys and girls were lazing around in front of the monitors, their exhaustion visible in the way they sat. With hands on the mouse, while the other patted against yawns, their burning gazes never left the screen.

The web might not be all that useful, too, but maybe it could let him find some kind of useful clue.

Yet it was better compared to actually searching through the countless men named Yu Yanzhang in all of China, where the odds of finding his biological father was the same as looking for a needle in a haystack. There was simply no chance of finding him in real life.

This thought resonated in his heart, causing a sonorous laugh burst from Tang Hong's lips. "Then what are your plans for tonight, bro? You're not just going to keep squatting here all night, are you?"

Just think of it as like a blind cat stumbling upon a dead mouse. The odds of stumbling onto a lead can't be called impossible, either! Besides, he honestly didn't care much about the outcome, as finding and meeting his father wasn't something that mattered to him anyhow. All this was, was a spur of the moment interest in knowing about the man he only knew by name. Of the man he had no idea was living or dead, where he lived, looked like, or even his temperament!
